Microsoft baru baru ini mengumumkan bahwa mereka telah menghentikan visual studio app center dan bakal mematikannya mulai pada 31 Maret 2025 mendatang.
Bagi nan belum tahu, visual studio app center sendiri merupakan sebuah tool dan jasa cloud nan membantu developer membuat, menguji, mendistribusikan, memantau dan memelihara aplikasi di Windows, iOS, Android dan Platform lainnya.
Namun sayangnya mulai 31 Maret 2025 mendatang, layana nini bakal dimatikan dan pengguna sekarang hanya mempunyai satu tahun tersisa untuk tetap menggunakan jasa ini. Setelah tanggal nan ditetapkan, Microsoft bakal memblokir proses login pengguna dan API calls sehingga akses darimanapun tidak lagi dapat dilakukan.
Salah satu argumen kenapa Microsoft mematikan jasa ini adalah lantaran mereka mempunyai beberapa jasa pengganti nan kabarnya lebih baik, seperti nan tertera dalam tabel berikut :
